Workshop 5 Life Refibre: Transfer of final results

The online conference, presented by the consortium in charge of the LIFE REFIBRE project (CARTIF, ICCL, Grupo INCOSA, BLASGÓN and SAN GREGORIO), will take place next Thursday, December 17, from 10 am to 2 pm by streaming broadcast.

The objective of this 5th LIFE REFIBRE workshop is to present data, advantages and disadvantages and lessons learned that have been collected during the three years that the project has lasted, as well as to disseminate the final results of the project and reflect on the importance of the application of the circular economy in the new projects that are carried out, always hand in hand with innovation.

At the same time, there will be expert speakers in order to convey to the audience the importance of innovative initiatives nowadays.

The LIFE REFIBRE project aims to promote the integrated management of glass fiber reinforced plastic waste that makes up the blades of wind turbines once their useful life is over. It promotes the complete and high-quality recyclability of its main compound, fiberglass (64% of the total weight), favoring the recovery of this waste in favor of a reduction in its presence in landfills and giving it a second life cycle to an application with high added value: its incorporation into asphalt agglomerate.
