Horizon 2020
Description
It is the most important EU funding programme of R&D and innovation. In its eighth edition, in the period 2014-2020 it contributes to address the most important societal challenges, to promote European industrial leadership and to reinforce the research base. The available budget is around 76.880M€.
Horizon 2020 integrates for the first time all phases from knowledge generation to close-to-market activities: basic research, technology development, demonstration projects, manufacturing pilot lines, social innovation, technology transfer, proof of concept, standardization, pre-commercial public procurement support, venture capital and guarantee scheme.
CARTIF participation
CARTIF has been participating actively in this programme and its predecessors from the 5th Framework Programme in collaboration with reference European entities and leading big consortia in very ambitious projects. CARTIF leads 8 projects and participates in other 44.

SGA2-NZC
NetZeroCities (NZC) project’s main objective is to support cities selected by the European Commission to achieve climate neutrality by 2030, in line with the 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission.
SGA1-NZC
SGA1-NZC has as an objective give support to 100 cities selected to be intelligent and climate neutral by 2030.
DEDALUS
DEDALUS will design, develop and demonstrate micro (home/flat) and macro (building and district) participatory demand response ecosystems in multiple energy vector systems and with a social and human science based approach
CO2SMOS
CO2SMOS project propose an innovative solution to develop new technologies based on processes for the conversion of biogenic CO2 and renewable raw materials into high value-added (bio)chemical products for chemistry sector and bio-based industries.
MATRYCS
The main objective of MATRYCS is to define and deploy a Reference Architecture for Buildings Data exchange, management and real-time processing, and to translate this reference architecture into an Open, Cloud-based Data Analytics Toolbox. It will enable AI-based cross-sector analytics for smart energy-efficient buildings, based on seamless data-information-knowledge exchange under respective sovereignty and regulatory principles.
PROBONO
PROBONO brings together a European multidisciplinary consortium of 47 partners, to turn the six European districts into Green Building Neighbourhoods, with positive energy balance and zero carbon emissions: two large-scale demonstrators and four living labs representing business/owner promoters of the green buildings and neighbourhoods transition.
K-HEALTHinAIR
PhotonHub Europe
PhotonHub Europe is the unique european Hub (DIH) in photonic that integrates the best technologies, facilities and knowledge in photonics as well as the experience of 53 partners of all Europe. The result is the creation of a unique window that offers a huge variety of support resources for industry to accelerate the integration of photonic in its products and processes.
RethinkAction
Development of a cross-sectoral decision-making platform to foster climate action, focusing on climate mitigation and adaptation.
Happening
HAPPENING project is developing a solution based on decentralised heat pups tha are easy to install, low-intrusive for the building´s occupants and easily adaptable to a large number of different building situations.
