Solid Biofuels Laboratory

Description

CARTIF Biofuels Testing Laboratory was created in 2005, aimed at supporting biofuels related to energy use in R&D projects and offering to biomass stakeholders an accredited service for testing and quality evaluation of solid biofuels, as an answer to current demand of bioenergy sector. Nowadays Biofuels testing Lab has many customers, such as biofuels producers and traders, public entities and other R&D centers, among others, in a wide scope (regional, national and international).

Since 2015, in accordance with technical requirements and European testing standards, CARTIF is the first Spanish testing body recognized as an accredited Laboratory for solid biofuel testing, according to ENAC accreditation 335/LE1276. Furthermore, CARTIF is currently the only Spanish accredited testing body in full scope for ENplus® certification squeme for wood pellets for non-industrial use (ISO 17225-2), and is listed by European Pellet Council as testing body for certification of wood pellets within the ENplus® system.

CARTIF Testing Lab offers a fast and effective service, adapted to customers needs in biofuels testing aimed at evaluation, monitoring and quality control, according to standard ISO 17225 for solid biofuels.
